Certificate III in Nail Technology

Course Overview..

This is the full qualification for people wishing to work as a qualified nail technician. This course includes the basic and advanced nail enhancement course plus the remaining units of competence to complete a nationally recognised qualification.

Entry Requirements for Smart and Skilled Funding

Pre-Enrolment Information

  • Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Evidence of your citizenship, permanent residence status or refugee status. This may include one of the following: Green Medicare Card, Passport, Birth Certificate, Visa, or Residency Documents
  • Evidence of residency in NSW, this may include: Driver’s license, Proof of age card or Utilities bill
  • Health Care or Pensions Card or other proof of concession (if you are applying for concession fees)
  • Certificates or transcripts of qualification that you hold if you are interested in gaining a credit transfer
  • Resume or details of employment history if you are interested in Recognition of Prior Learning

Concession Eligibility

Students who are eligible for a concession fee include:

  • Commonwealth welfare recipients
  • Dependent child, spouse or partner of a commonwealth welfare recipient

Exemption Eligibility

Students who are eligible for a fee exemption include:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Student with a disability
  • Dependent child, spouse or partner of a recipient of the Disability Support Pension– fee-free scholarships may be available to applicants who are Social Housing Residents

To apply for a concession or exemption, you must provide evidence of your concession status. This may include:

  • Health care card or Pension Card
  • Providing other evidence that demonstrates you, or a person you are dependent on, are in receipt of Centrelink benefits or the disability Support Pension
  • Self-identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Assessment Requirements

  • Students will be required to arrange a number of clients to practice practical assessments on
  • Students will be required to perform a variety of treatments and services on paying and non-paying clients
