Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. It’s helping people in NSW get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers.

Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with:

• an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III
• government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas.

Put simply, a USI is a requirement to receive your qualification or statement of attainment. It is a unique number that identifies you within education and training.

Your USI will give you access to all training courses undertaken since January 2015, and will provide an easy way to access a comprehensive report of your qualifications.

Your USI is unique to you, it stays with you for life and doesn’t change.
